The IDEAHL consortium organized a two-hour online workshop on September 18th, titled “Synergies on (Digital) Health Literacy,” with the objective of exploring potential collaborations with other European funded projects. The event, although restricted to other projects and policy makers, drew in a small yet significant group of 20 participants.
During the initial part of the session, the IDEAHL team provided a brief overview of the project’s concept and foundational principles. They also discussed the current status of the digital health literacy strategy, which serves as the primary deliverable of their project.
The second part of the workshop featured presentations from various EU funded projects, including HARMONY and HARMONY PLUS , dRural and Ciudacia, TIMELY, SHIFT-HUB and DHU. These projects covered diverse areas, some unrelated to health, but all centered around the common necessity of wider and deeper digital literacy among our national populations. These areas included rare diseases and health data, a service marketplace for rural regions, facilitating the adoption of digital health solutions, and personalizing healthcare through AI-powered apps.
In conclusion, it became evident that these projects could establish valuable connections, collaborate effectively, and mutually benefit from their interactions. This workshop served as a platform for potential synergies that could lead to innovative developments in the field of digital health literacy and related domains.
