Paving the way for tangible interventions to enhance (digital) health literacy across Europe and beyond, the IDEAHL project consortium has unveiled the reports on its extensive co-creation process. These pivotal documents encapsulate the collective efforts of 14 project partners across 10 EU Member States.
Co-creation in healthcare embodies a collaborative approach bringing together citizens, healthcare providers, researchers, policymakers, experts, and vulnerable groups. By harvesting the expertise and experiences of these stakeholders, co-creation surpasses traditional hierarchical structures to foster creativity and accelerate the translation of research findings into real-world impact.
140 co-creation sessions engaging more than 1,400 stakeholders were conducted, ensuring representation from various segments of society with distinct characteristics, social backgrounds, and needs. This inclusive approach facilitated a holistic understanding of the challenges and opportunities surrounding (digital) health literacy.
These findings represent a cornerstone for developing IDEAHL’s comprehensive and inclusive approach. The results encompass diverse perspectives and integrate them into actionable recommendations, which helped the consortium to construct the foundational pillars of the EU Strategy.
